. I need to change my rear springs and hangers. Before I purchase the replacement frame pitches and leaf springs, I want to start to cut off the rivots and replace them with grade 8 bolts and nuts. That way when I buy the replacement spring purches and springs, the job SHOULD go quicker. I will only have 12 hours to complete the job.
Once I start, I have no way to get back to town to purchase other supplies.
On to my question. What size bolts will I need to purchase to replace the rivots?
Yes I know to purchase new U bolts.

A 7/16" x 1-1/2" bolts should work perfectly to put the hangers back on the frame.

ATS is the way to go,at least it was my way

 

i drilled mine out to 1/2" and used all grade 8 hardware.
