I remember reading about an intake mod in a post a while back. It had something to do with using stock bracket/clamp and getting a K&N filter and just connecting the filter to the intake hose without the housing. Does anyone know what I'm talking about. If so, do you remember the thread, any instructions, and links?
there is a picture of what i did in my first gallery. I just took the front part of the air box and cut it so the mounting pins and the ring that the clamp goes around were left in place.
I was reading through forums about intakes for a superduty and found out that the aftermarket intake systems such as the K&N FIPK and AEM Brute Force don't really make a difference(mainly just for show). I just bought a K&N filter and was reading about Zoodad and the intake housing mod. Just wanted to know what would be the best thing. SHould I just cut a fat hole where airbox opening is and just do the intake housing???
anyone do an other mods??
thanks
