picked up a set of speedway block hugger headers for my 351W as well as the 2 1/2" "toobs"...
however, not sure how to properly connect, as the 3-bolt collector isn't flat. can i just rent one of those exhaust expander tools from autozone and flange the end of the extension tubes a bit (they have weld-on 3-bolt flange)? or do i need to purchase a specific collector reducer to fit these?

You cannot stretch the pipe metal enough without splitting it, so yes, you have to buy the correct adapters and weld them onto the exhaust.
