Anyone used this? I was looking into the brake line sets ( prebent ) and came across this stuff. I have the tools needed to make my own lines so this stuff peeked my curiosity.
That's the standard tubing the parts stores sell around here.
I usually slide armor guard over the lines for additional protection --and in the case of being in the engine compartment, the armor guard is also like a heat sink on the lines to help pull some of the heat out of them, sort of like fins on a valve cover.
I got a roll of the polyarmor line from Auto Zoo for my truck, and reused all the old fittings. There are pics in my building thread "with a twist", but I can't link pics on my phone right now.
Steve, is there a difference in the brake lines between a F100 and F250?
All the hard lines are 3/16" diameter. The standard fitting size for 3/16" diameter tubing is 3/8"-24. However, Ford also used 7/16"-24, 1/2"-20 and 9/16"-18 fittings on 3/16" diameter tubing.
As far as the tubing layout goes and if you're referencing pre-bent lines, there would be some differences in an F100's plumbing vs. an F250 with factory front discs, since no '67-'72 F100 had factory front discs.
