Funny guys talking about being "too old!" You're only as old as you think and feel you are. I've met young guys who are "old" and old guys who are smart (old guys are never "young" but they know a LOT and are smarter for it).
If you lift a truck right it can ride as well or better (true!) as a stock truck. Just depends on the lift design and the components and installation.
I'm gonna lift it with a 4" Radius Arm BDS lift (cannot beat their warranty - it's the best) and run 37" x 13.50" x 18 or 20 Toyo Open Country M/T tires. It's gonna be great.
Well said. Age has nothing to do with it. State of mind. As said before some young guys are just waiting for the dirt, because they are already dead..lol
My only input regarding the lift, is if your in and out a bunch, the 4 might just be nicer over the long haul. But if you always wanted a lifted truck...do it. Age, 59
There have been a lot of good opinions in this thread. Thank you guys a ton. While these trucks sit tall already, I think I'm going to go with a lift. My wife likes to tease me about my age and it's fun so I don't mind. Besides, isn't 40 the new 30? Lol. I think deep down she knows this is just something I want and she's fine with it. I believe someone asked about our height. I'm 6'1" and my wife is 5'9" so either lift shouldn't be an issue. Whatever I decide to do, I will definitely post some pics.
Let's keep the convo going. It is definitely a good one.
I've had my truck now for just under 2 weeks and plan on going with a 4 inch lift and 37" tires. Yes she is tall stock, however, I've wanted a lifted truck for a while now. I'm 6'3" and turning 43 at the end of March. My biggest decision is choosing the rim size. Either going 20x10 or 22x12.
Im 29...Age shouldn't play a factor. Do what makes you happy during the term of that truck! I recommend If you do lift it, go with a 6" and update the coils and shox. Mine personally drives perfect with the mods.

Ok dude.....you gotta stop. You're killing me over here. Lol. That is my favorite look of a truck. Definitely bada$$!!
Glad you decided to lift it. Next time, start out by telling your wife you want a 10-12" lift. Then, when she tells you you're too old, tell her she's right - 12" might be a bit much and on further thought you've decided that 6" is probably more reasonable. At least, that's my plan

Wait! Don't do that - maybe she thinks 6" is a foot! If so you don't want to show her that's not the case
