What jim said and spares, spares, spares. I would strongly recommend more than 1 spare trailer tire. I would also want newer tires.

Jack that will lift both vehicles, basic hand tools, spare tires, some extra fluids, oil, washer fluid and a voltmeter are some things I normally have when I tow.

Make sure your spare tire carrier (assuming it's the stock one) works, and it cranks up and down fine. Hate to find out on the side of the road that you can't get the spare out from under the truck. Also for that long of trip, even with brand new tires on the trailer, I'd carry 2 trailer spares. Pack so that the spare tires, tools, and jack are sitting where you can easily get to them. You don't want to unpack half your trailer to get to your tools or jack on the side of the road. Double check that you have the correct lug nut wrench, and lug key if you have locking lugs, and make sure you have the jack tool to get the spare down.

On my first trailer, on my second tow, I found out that the trailer lug nuts were different size than the spare tire carrier, and I didn't have a jack. Lucky I was close to home so I could grab some tools.

Thanks guys, I'll be sure to get some spares and keep a proper jack and tools to change the tires if need be. I'm looking into the WDH as well
