What speakers?
1999 Expedition. Installed a Clarion NX405 and am looking to upgrade my speakers. I am on a $200 or so budget. I am not sure about the sub or the amp. Can someone give me some suggestions in this range? I plan on installing them myself. I will have Kicker speakers in the doors.

Look into the Rockford Fosgate P300-12. for the money its a great option. I put one in my Wifes Corolla S. It has a bass **** and everything. She is very happy with it.

It was the Metra kit and wiring harness. As far as cutting goes, I had a shop due the install because I didn't want to cut it myself. So I can't tell you for sure how much there was to cut. But it probably isn't too bad. If you look at my pic above, you can see the bottom of the stereo lines up pretty good with the cover. I have seen where the bottom part of the stereo is hidden/behind the piece between the radio and and ac controls. If I had more time I may have attempted it on my own.
