While I was checking the lights on my F350 Motor home, found that the side lamps on the front fenders were not working, removed the Lens and no bulb. Saw 2 contacts in the socket and "ASSUMED" that a 1157 bulb would work. Nope wont fit. OK next I tried a 1158 center contact bulb OOPS apparently one of the socket contacts is ground and one is hot...
Melted the contact plate and an now I need a bulb holder or complete side Amber marker light. It is a Dietz 94 Marker, Plate is marked 94-3.
The other side does not have a bulb. What is the correct bulb number?
Any help is appreciated.

 

Ford does not list one. But it looks like a #68 will work. It has a double contact base.

Good info Garykip but the light he has has been added and is not original equipment, or even made by Ford.

It is original equipment, but over 80% of the parts on these trucks were not made by Ford. Ford designed/blueprinted them, then contracted with outside suppliers to make them.

C3AZ13466G ..#97 bulb is a single contact bulb Bill. So it won't work in the 15442 Camper Special fender lamps. They fit in the platform bed and flat bed marker lamps front, sides, and rear.

 

The fender lamp assembly was part number C9TZ15442D.

#97 is the only bulb listed for the marker lamp. There would be no reason to have a double filament bulb since all it does is light up (like a backup lamp bulb).

#1157 is an example of a double filament bulb, as it has more than one function. Parking/tail lamps, turn signals/brake lamps, 4 ways.

 

Fixed it. Sylvania 90 works.

Yes.
When the wrong bulb gets installed and melts the socket on the Dietz side marker it becomes an issue on a hard to get part.
I was able to repair the contacts on the socket and with the correct bulbs the markers are now working.
