I bought a 2007 Ford F-150 5.4 with about 163000 miles. First week I got it i heard a rattle in the engine at start then goes away and drives fine. Took it to a shop and said it was the phasers. So I order a kit from Freedom racing. Phasers, tensioners, chains, guides, oil pump. Not the VCT sensors. So I timing it with the crank gear at 11 (teeth) dot on 6 o clock, then timing chain with the marks on the gear and on both phasers match I've even triple check the timing. Put everything back together removed fuel pump fuse so I could built oil pressure first then I put fuse on and started up and ran rough and code p0022 come up and p0358 come up. This is my first Ford timing chains I've done. Any help or ideas would help me figure this out. Not giving up.
To me it looks like you install the driver's side (L) phaser sprocket 180 degrees off. The chain sprocket is in the correct place, but the phaser is not.

so I would have to remove the phaser and turn the camshaft 180 degree and out the cam back on and line up the line"L"?

if I do turn the phaser 180 degrees wouldn't that make it "R" under the makes on driver side?
The chains are right. You can't turn the phaser 180 degrees on the cam there is a locating pin on the phaser and a slot in the cam. Check the VCT solenoids for any damaged screens maybe there is a piece of screen making the valve stick.

that's what I thought about turning it 180 degrees. I did the test to unplug the VCT wire to see if it made it ran good and still was running rough on idle

removed the VCT and everything looks good. Screens are clean nothing on them
Are they aftermarket phasers? I havent heard many good things about aftermarket. The runs rough concern is prob from the P0358 code, coil primary circuit failure on #8
