Flush Mount Lights

Hi All,

I have a 2015 F350 and with the long dark hours of driving here in Alaska, I want to put some auxillary lights on the front of my truck. I have a ranch style bumper on the front and I am thinking about installing a pair of flush mount LED
driving lights. I was wondering what everyone is using and your thoughts on how well they work?

I am personally thinking about the rigid flushmount hybrid driving/flood lights with the focused beam.

Any input is appreciated before I spend $300 on a set of lights.

Thanks!

You would likely get better performance from a single longer LED bar than two flush mount pods.

While I don't have flush mounts. I am running rigid dually driving lights. I'm pleased with them. They are down in the middle of the front stock bumper. I am able to use them without blinding oncoming traffic. Not as bright as my bars, but better than any of the stock lights.

There are lots of people here in Alaska that think they need a light bar more than you. I know several people with Jeeps that have had them stolen despite the locks, welding the bolts, and other creative security options. Given my bumper, a light bar would have to sit right on top and would be easy pickins. My bumper is not setup for flush mount lights, so I'll have to cut it and make it setup for it. Two driving lights would be easier to do, harder to steal (i'd weld the nuts on) and more focused than a light bar, allowing me to run them when driving on the streets.

I agree the light bar would provide more light.

Are those the D2s? What beam pattern do you have? I am looking for ones I can run without blinding other drivers. Your sound exactly like what I want to do.

I have a set of Rigid D2 Driving lights mounted flush in the bumper of my F-150. You can't run them with oncoming traffic though as they will blind the heck out of them. They really made the drive between Anchorage and Fairbanks much better!

The only thing you can legally and should run with oncoming traffic is the DOT fog lights.

Rough Country makes some small light bars that fit in your grill....Very low profile and look difficult to steal..

In no real order Rigid, KC, Baja Designs, Vision X, Light Force, PIAA, and Bull Dog are all quality brands.....Stay away from ebay and Chinese junk.

I'm gonna give these a try..
