Ignition switch??

The last week or so, when I start my '75 F100 it will start fine and then after 1-3 seconds briefly lose power for just a moment...but not long enough to totally die...then continue running. The "LOW FUEL ECONOMY" light in the dash also goes out for a moment when this happens. (ordinarily it is ON all the time as the sensor is not hooked up). The truck has never done this in the past. I'm hoping it is just the ignition switch starting to fail. Anybody else experience this or have any ideas?

I am far from the best diagnostician in the world (probably even on my street) but this sounds like a momentary fuel starvation thing than electrical. Wiser heads will know better.

It is electric. It's like an on-off switch with no burbling or sputtering and the LOW FUEL ECONOMY light is normally ON during any key-hot operations running or not and it goes out during these events.
