Hey... Real quick, someone here gots one on their rig. Mind checking in and throwing a bone into what one you got and how its mounted(pics)... Can't seem to find the thread... Thanks man
Man...i dunno, but a member here has one. Think he down in Temecula, ca. It's a sweet setup though, that's for sure. Trying to get some info for my brother
You might be talking about me, i live in Menifee. I had one for years. I got mine from ZENA and also purchased the 7.3 mount (extra 800 bucks) and I took mine off after I retired in 2013 because I no longer needed it. I still have it all tucked away in the garage in a box someplace. Do you need one?
Wow... those new Zena units seem to start at around $800 for the 150 amp model, and they go up to almost $1,000, and the various "upgrade kits" are another $200-$360! I didn't even look at the 200 amp models.
Hey SarDiver.. Knew I find you. Thanks for checking in. Congrats on the retirement, man. Now, you can extend your weekend at the river 😉.
. Is the unit universal? Thinking here shortly, it may need married to a 5.3 Chevy. Brothers' thinking of moving up north and starting something. I mentioned to him about this contraction and its something he wouldn't mind investing v in... Anyway, thanks brutha
Pete.. Just think what it cost for the generator so you have power, then the welder cost, that the gennie is powering..or the investment of the gennie/fuel powered welder..i guess it does come down to what's its intended use
The unit itself is universal and can be run on just about any truck. I just purchased the 7.3 mounting kit so I would not have to go the BUBBA route and I wanted a clean install. I have also seen people purchase small engines (like a Honda) and rig up the unit to run that way. In the photos, the unit is on the right with the ALT on the left.
