Side exhaust done

In process of building the exhaust system and needed the side exhaust outlet done so I could work back to the headers. Using a 2 1/4" kit and H pipe from Summit with a flex pipe to give some sway movement. Will post more when I get the rest done!!

Well, if you've got the right mufflers you're going to tick off a lot of people at red lights. Ask me how I know

Great looking fab work! Do you have any specific plans for what you'll be using for paint to prevent from bubbling?

I plan to use VHT paint on the actual exhaust tips and the running board will be body color (base/CC).
I don't expect any great amount of heat at the tips, could be wrong.....

I've got quite a bit of run time on mine with no damage. It doesn't get as hot as you would think. I've had several corvettes with header side pipes that ran very close to painted fiberglass with no damage. I don't think you will have a problem.

Thanks for the reply and info. I'm doing the side exit as well and my friend is doing the painting and he feels the same. Just wanted to see what other thought.

Very nice looking! And yes you'll still **** some people off with the 50's, I have the 40's without a "H" pipe (thinking about adding one) and I **** people off sometimes... Including myself! No insulation or deadening on mine!

That's the way I have mine except my exhaust guy didn't weld or fabricate a piece under the tips, my truck sits low and I ended up catching a steep driveway on the tips and pulling it backward. I need to re-do mine with piece underneath so it won't catch on anything else. I'm running a ls2 6.0 with flowmasters and it so so,I want to change over to Borlas or Corsas. Yours looks fantastic and I drool with envy. L8R ZFLASH
