I bought mine because of your thread. I want to be able to wash my truck and camper for free again.
I did notice a warning sticker on the water pump that said it was designed for 5 minutes of run time with 10 minutes of cool down but I used it for about 3 minutes pumping 10 gallons and it wasn't warm at all.
That seaflo pump shown is still in use today from 2017. It takes 20 minutes to transfer the water. It never feels hot after the transfer, warm but not hot and I'll bet I've put over 6,000 gallons of water through it. It gets used just about every other week.
I'm ready to rock and roll at my next spot in Utah.
Everything here cost $300 total give or take $10. Had I done this 2 years ago when I bought my 5th wheel it would have been at least $60 cheaper.
I don't know if you have a shut off valve for outlet on the bladder. I leave it on all the time for hooking up the hose for transfer. Something like this, Wally or one of the stores have them in the garden section.
I picked up a plastic one and a brass one with a plastic collar that can spin on the female side from Home Depot yesterday. I tested it out and found out I need a different 3/4" male - 1/2" ID hose barb fitting cause the one I got (the only one they had in stock) doesn't seal to a female garden hose fitting. I probably lost 1 gallon from 20 when I've I was testing it. It'll work until I can get to another hardware store.
I forgot to mention that you might want to tape these wires so they don't break. Granted I use my pump alot so the wires get moved more than normal. They started to show weakening in the plastic wrap coming out of the motor so taped them as not to move and prevent breaking. This was a couple years ago.
