That's the one thing that I didn't want on the Platinum. I see so many driving around with the rust specks all over the bumper on older trucks. Anyone have luck with the clear vinyl bra covering on bumpers?

Wow. I'm looking at $1k+ and no luck in finding anyone nearby with a Magnetic Platinum willing to trade. Also, shops are super apprehensive about doing it due to the prep and possibility of the paint chipping/flaking. I know wrapping them just won't look right. Gunna have to keep my eyes open and shop around!
For those looking to have chrome painted....have you looked into any of the bedliner spray companies in your area. Most can color match to the color of your truck and I would think that s**t would adhere to anything...also be elastic enough to guard against chips. Just a thought.

Shop charged me $500 to paint the bumpers. But I pulled them off, stripped everything down, and had them dipped at the chromer's first. Turned out pretty good - better then a wrap but it was a bit of a process.

I checked into having my chrome bumpers bedlined. The guy told me all the chrome has to come off or the bedliner won't stick properly. He told me it would be cheaper to find some painted bumpers to spray and then sell my chrome ones to offset the cost.
