What a wide range of opinions we have! But, that's what this forum is about.
Based upon what I've learned here I decided awhile back to hold out for an 04.
Thank you, King Ranch, hunt, and skute and the others, for your input. I was ready to run out and spend a fortune on an 04 truck, but as I said I'm in no hurry (now) and will sit back and see how the new model year goes. And, I'll be sure to check out the diesel stop.
I am one with problems. I believe you are doing your homework in waiting. The trucks when they are working are great, when they are not, they are a royal PITA. I have not had mine during winter, I purchased it in July. But now, temps are sometimes in the low 20's in the moring, and the truck starts ok, but takes a lot longer to crank, and kicks out lots of smoke. Also, no power until it has warmed up, couple of minutes. Even less power than the low power problem associated with the "6.0 problems".
I got mine in April snowed that week.Never had a problem starting it. But it is your money do with it what you like. But for 04 I dom't see any changes for the problems people are having.
