Does the ZF 5 fit?
Does it fit in the dent trans tunnel?
I know it bolts up to the block, etc., but no one ever mentions whether they needed to do sheet metal work on the trans tunnel/floor.
I could splice in the tunnel of a efi truck, but would rather avoid it, unless absolutely needed.

My experience is that it requires extensive tunnel modifications. Someone may be able to speak up about whether it can be made to fit with less clearance but I wanted enough clearance to be able to remove the transmission without pulling the motor. To accommodate that I had to rework the tunnel and make a whole new cover.

I have a 75 f250. I think I will cut the entire trans tunnel out of an efi year truck, and transplant it into mine. I know it will ride up higher on the firewall, but hopefully my heater won't be in the way.
