Beginning Restorations

Hey folks!

With the summer coming around soon, I am looking to get back to restoring/ tinker with my truck. I have a few questions, but the main things I would like to do are:

1) Switch the bench for a 40-20-40. (Regular Cab 4x2 truck so where do I need to look for this seat?)

2) New Headlight/ Taillights (maybe go HID?)

3) Replace hoses, sparkplugs (and wires), distributor cap in engine bay

4) Interior trim parts replace

What do ya'll think and is there any tips you have for any of the above?

Cheers!!

Are you driving it now, or needing to get it back on the road? You shouldn't have any trouble getting parts for a 95 from suppliers, and parts yards. I'm a firm believer in starting with the mechanical systems, then go to the cosmetic. Pictures will help to see what you need. Bob

It is my daily driver. No major mechanical issues, but I just put it over 157k. I was tinkering around on it today and noticed my power steering pump is leaking, so that'll need to be fixed quickly. Asides from that, it is still going strong. I want to do the spark plugs/wires because they were replaced back in 2000 when we did it last. I'll try to put some pictures up soon when I find my camera.

I enjoy wrenching but not so enjoyable now that I do it for a living again.

I have really been toying with the idea lately of building a t bucket and taking the drive line out of the 79. Would be next year before I even started it but it has crossed my mind a few times.
