I have a Swing Case on my 2002 7.3 and it looks similar enough to the picture you posted that I assume the Ford one is made by the same company (Under Cover), I have not verified that fact. I am away from my truck right now but here's a stock pic of what mine looks like...
There is a tab for a pad lock to prevent unwanted removal of the box. There is also a key lock on the lid. The box is removed by simply swinging it out and lifting.
I have no problem with 5th wheel access. A driver side box I believe will block access to the trailer electrical hook up in the bed of a 2017 however.
Mine is a rather flimsy plastic. A thief could easily pry the lid of the box open to access the contents. Stealing the entire box would be difficult. I have not seen the Ford one and it may be different.
I am happy with mine and will definitely be getting one for the passenger side for my 2017. I find mine very useful as it swings out over the open tail gate.
Looking closely at both pictures I would be fairly certain that they are exactly the same with branding changes. Can you confirm that they swing back far enough to be able to open the lid with the tonneau closed?
I wouldn't be storing anything real expensive in there anyway. Possibly one of my ball-mount hitches, and maybe a tow rope, etc. All to be out of site under a bed cover anyway.
I don't have a 6.7 yet but I would say yes, it will block the LED's.
On the other hand these Swing Cases swing out so easily that the LED lighting would still be useful.

OK, back home to work a few days. Here are the pics I promised.
I am not sure how valid this will be for your 2017 but this is how it looks on my 2002.
Regrettably my 7.3 is starting to show it's age and heavy usage.
Do the best you can to ignore how filthy it is, it's been a rough winter and cleaning her up is down a ways on the priority list right now.
I ordered and installed the Ford branded storage boxes in my 17 F250. Easy install, about 10 minutes, and work very well. They have the capability of be locked into the hinge bracket which makes lifting them off the hinge impossible. And yes they swing out far enough to access the insides without removing tonneau cover. I have an ARE cover but they are below side rails height.
Anyone have additional input to share about these swing cases? Good, bad, indifferent, waste of money? How much weight can they hold?
I use a 2x4 across the back of the bed area to keep stuff near the tailgate, so it looks like I'd lose that. However, it would be nice to have a place to stash stuff I keep in a milk crate tied to the bed cleat.
I have a set installed and they are nice. You can stuff them with whatever you want. Pivots on the hinge easily and has a good latching system. I have not been dissapointed with mine and if needed, they are very easily detached and set in the garage if I need full width box access.

Is it still possible to use a bed divider to keep stuff by the tailgate if you have a single swing case? (obviously would have to be removed to swing case out)
