First item we have in question is on the back of the intake manifold of a 1976 F100 with a 302. Has a vacuum line coming in to the side of it, 2 nipples are capped off (caps painted blue), and one nipple not capped.
Second thingy looks like some type of solenoid with a red wire connected to it and a vacuum line with a screw in it blocking it off. I found it tucked in under the front of the engine's air cleaner.
The vacuum tree is your main source for vacuum for the automatic trans. Kinda depends on if anything else needs vacuum. Power brakes usually have their own dedicated fitting off the back of the intake.

Ah yes I forgot about the automatic transmission, thank you for correcting me.
No power brakes. No power anything as a matter of fact . And I just discovered I had a major vacuum leak being that you guys said that's a vacuum tree and all. Went out there and put my finger over the uncapped port and all that loud hissing (I'd somehow never noticed) got quiet and my idle dropped significantly. Guess I'll be readjusting my mixture screws tomorrow!
