Hey guys! I've followed this forum for a few years. First time I've actually signed up and am posting tho.
Heres's the pickle:
2000 F150 Lariat 4x w/ 5.4L
312,000 ish miles
about 270 miles ago I did the trans pan gasket and filter. She's been dropping up and down the the street at my GFs house so been researching where it's actually coming from, still no definitive answer. Yesterday I drove it about 100 miles. Came home. Parked it. Had dinner. Was going to bring up to the driveway to retorque header gaskets i installed two nights ago. And my transmission fluid DUMPED OUT all the way to the driveway.
Thoughts? Ideas? Hellllllllp!!! 😬

If so, it's a fairly common occurrence due to the front pump seal getting hot and letting go. As soon as it cools off, it tends to reseal.
i backed it up for like 8yds drove forward another 30 ish yards to the driveway and pulled straight in. The driveway slopes uphill tho. Not a terrible incline. 20deg, maybe?? If that...
Did it come out of the bottom of the bell housing or did you blow a line?
As best as I can see it's coming out from the top of the extension housing. And the only things I can see that are up there is the speed sensor and the gasket. Not too sure if there's a leak on the transmission-to-extension housing gasket or extension housing-to-transfer case gasket. There's not much room to see. Went to get a mirror from Harbor Freight but now it's like 10,000,000 degreees outside. I'm waiting for sundown.
