truck is ready for paint

I have been doing some research and thinking on what to do for a trim package, color to paint the truck and any cool ideas that might make the truck look a little better. I am currently out to sea and will post a pic of it when the internet connection improves. but here is what I was thinking.. . .

1. I want to paint the truck more of a sporty dark blue, not as dark as a navy but not quite as bright as ford blue. still trying to nail down a good paint code. hard to pic a color when you are searching online due to your computer screen settings can effect the way the color looks.

2. I was thinking of doing just the dash a glossy black. I think it would dress up the interior. what are your thoughts?

3. I already purchased the larger "ranger" trim for the middle of the truck. I recently replaced the bed on it with one that has the toolbox on the bed. it had the lower trim on it. I am not sure if I would like the lower trim and the larger ranger trim on it. opinions on this aswell?

I know those questions are all personal preference, I like to hear what my fellow bump owners think.

I think one of the classiest paint schemes of Bumpsides is light blue combined with Wimbledon white. The chrome bits and polished pieces are subtle but seem to pop.

When I first saw mine 30 yrs ago...the color caught my eye, and still does.
(I'd like to put those wheels back on it but they are NLA)

Then Tate rebuild his 4x4 with the mirror image of it:

But, again there is Gavin's which is a darker blue:

those all look really nice. I do really like the looks of tates truck. I was thinking of doing mine similar to gavin's just a bit darker and with the bigger trim. these bumps are by far the best looking trucks out there.

There is a buddy on FB, that has a '70 F100 4x4 for sale. It is the bigger brother to my shortbed(same colors). Man, I want it BAD!!!!!!

I have absolutely NO need for it, no money for it, or a place to put it, but what does all that matter...... I just really like the stance of a well built 4x4.

Tate's (tpdaniels) 4x4 is the scheme and hue of light blue is perfect to my eyes... not too dark and not too light.

Does it have to be a true blue? How about the color 68murc's truck used to be?

Kinda fitting also. Since Smirks mentioned he's "out to sea".

I'm not sure of the specific color names on my uncle's '71 Ranger XLT but, they are nice colors too. He painted this truck himself years ago. He's in his '80s now. --low quality cell phone pictures but, you get the general idea.
