Hello my new found friends, knowing what happens to rubber after 43 years I'll be changing out my 74 F100 SBs body mounts. So my question today is do I go stock rubber or polyurethane? Just a note I'll have no problem with feeling more feedback from the chassis into the cab which I'm sure I'll get with Poly. What have you all used and why?
As always, I appreciate all of your feedback and I thank you in advance.
Randy.

Go with polyurethane body mounts. They'll basically last forever. I went with them on my truck and haven't been sorry.
Yes, they look and feel like hockey pucks, but they'll secure your cab and front clip to the frame which is what you want.
I've found that the old rubber mounts added to the "bounciness" of the cab rather than reduced any vibrations/swaying effects (being that they were made of rubber).
Let the suspension do its job I say... but that's just my $0.02.
No real advantage to rubber over poly unless you're looking for "correct-ness"...even then nobody cares. Get the poly, get em in black....at least when you get a weird shimmy, shake, vibration or rattle, you'll know where it's NOT coming from...that narrows it down to 999 other things...
