Thumbs up New Member here with first V10

Morning All,

New Member here and coming from diesels this is my first V10 I bought.

Its a 2001 F350 CREWCAB LARIAT LONG BED 4X4 DUALLY with 121k miles.

I bought it for 7k and knowing theres a few quirks that need addressing...Hope I didnt overpay for it...

1. The bed interior is shot so I am having a welder fabricate a new diamond plate floor and interior sides while still keeping the original fenders since its clean.

2. Rear brake pads needed
3. A coolant system flush as the coolant system tank looks awfully dirty
4. Oil Dipstick Tube is completely rotted away...Needs replacing
5. Rear pinion seal has tiny weeping so replacing that
6. Fuel Filler Neck is rotted...needs replacing...

Only other thing I am going to do is when bed is off going to wire wheel the entire frame and por-15 is since the frame has that New England rust big time.

Interior is fairly clean no rips or stains.......

I am hoping this truck will run for a few years....I drove it back from Boston Mass area without issue....but need to address those things above...

Hey Thanks....

Going to use the truck to eventually pull a 5th wheel or camper in the future...Plus I am re doing my landscape in the front of my house so I wanted something that can handle a good amount of weight in the bed for rocks, top soil, etc.....

I have had crewcab short beds in the past all being diesels, but the amount of money I have poured into 7.3s and 6.0s was crazy so I went with a V10....Going to have a mechanic square it away along with the welder fabricator make the bed etc...Should come out good.
