weldable primer question

weldable primer question

every time i ask someone if they have weldable primer they look at me like i'm from a different planet, hardware stores/auto zone etc, what should i ask for?

visit a real welding shop or autobody paint supply store...................

X2 I think I have always gotten mine from the auto body supply store.
Not sure if I have ever seen it at a welding supply store but also never looked for it there.

I have not used Eastwoods weld thru primer but have use their rust encapsulator and frame coating.
Also got the paint & rust stripping pads for my grinder thru them and my HVLP 3 spray gun kit from them to name a few.

Over on the RX7Club, our admin Aaron Cake uses Eastwood's weld-through primer quite often, as well as POR-15. Hop on Youtube and search for his 1976 Cosmo to see the stuff in action.
