First thanks for all the great info on this site it helped me make some decisions when ordering my truck and some extras for it. I was hoping someone might have some advice on finding the best location to pass a snow plow harness through the firewall. I poked around but haven't found a great location yet. I thought I look to the experience of all aof you on the site to see what everyone else has done?
Thanks for any help
You will find a rubber plug on the drivers side that is meant to be used as the pass thru area. I usually poke a hole thru it and after all wires are ran I silicone it up to make it water tight again.
How many wires of what gauge in this harness? If you can't find a suitable grommet, cutting a hole and having a proper rubber grommet to protect your wires will be important. It's complicated under that dash.

If you are talking about that nipple that it is in the grommet around the steering column, that works well.
I heated up a scribe and pushed it right through. That thing is tough.
