02 f150 4.2 tailgate replace?

02 f150 4.2 tailgate replace?
I bought this truck and the tailgate has a line dent in it which I am thinking the former owner backed into something. My question is would it be better to get a replacement tailgate and repaint or do bodywork and repaint it. I don't want to put a ton of $ into this just want it to look factory again. Any comments appreciated!

Perhaps you can find a suitable used one here: Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market
They seem to range $100-500 depending on condition. If you can find one close to you of the same color in decent condition you might save some cash.
