Stalling bronco

Hey folks, new to the site,if this is a repeat question sorry about that..I have an 87 bronco with 4.9 motor..Problem I'm having is I'll be driving down the road and Bronco will just cut off, popping the clutch h won't restart it,I have to physically turn the switch cord and it will restart with no problem..It doesn't do it every time I drive, just at random..Anyone have any thoughts.thanks.

Hello Cphenschen,
Welcome to the forums.

Sounds like your ignition is actually turning off, which is why popping the clutch won't restart it.

However, I'm not sure what you mean by the "switch cord". What is that?
