fuel pump acentric

Hey fellas i own a 81 bronc with a 302 2bbl that i am in the process of rebuilding and im kind of stumped. is the race around the fuel pump acentric supposed to be free floating or am i missing a bearing or some thing?

are you talking where it bolts to the cam gear?? if so no theres no bearing it looks kind like a little metal cup and bolt to the cam gear, and the outr ring turns. DW

i was refering to the race thet goes around the cup it fits very loose and i was wandering if it was supposed to

yes the outer sleeve will be loose, but shouldnt bewhere it can come off or anything like that. DW

thanks that helped alot it kind of scared me when i wobbled that thing durring dissasembly, i thought that could have been where my knock was coming from all along
