Manifold Air Pressure (MAP) Sensor
rewire the coils connectors from the wire harness the same way.
So I went out and bought a CAN OBD2 Code Reader but now I'm getting these errors
P0106- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance Problem
I should point out that I did replace a MAP sensor
but the one i replaced is mounted to the firewall to the left of the PCM
is this the same sensor? or is there another one and does anyone know where it's located?
Next errors I received are P0354,P0355,P0356 ,Ignition Coil D,E,F Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction.
where are Ignition Coil D,E,F ? are the ones in the front that I just rewired?
I'm wondering if they are damaged and need to be replaced.
Thank to all in advance for any help or Direction!!
The MAP needs a good tight connection to manifold vacuum to operate and send a proper signal. You can check its output with a VOM that measures Hz. The Hz will correspond to manifold vacuum and to altitude if the engine is not running. There's a table of proper expected values. If the wires are damaged, Vref, Ground, Signal, the computer will note that, which is what I think you are seeing. Check the wires and the vacuum tube for continuity and seal.
The code for the COPs could be a 'leftover' that has not yet cleared. It was a 'hard' code that repeated, and needs some number of cycles to clear, or a 'reset' command from a code reader/scanner/???.
