Rick, I got caught in it. I was heading back from Bloomington, meanwhile my brother calls me while driving home and says the tornado is tracking from Hopedale/Minier/Mackinaw..... I am on Rt 9. Wind was blowing about 50-70mph and I hit the winery and all of a sudden the rain starts pouring down where I couldn't literally see the road and wind is blowing harder and then I start getting the strong smell of dirt. I'm literally 2 miles from home. I made it home but not without a fresh change of underwear. Next day am talking to my UPS driver and right where I ran into the rain and such aparently there were downed buildings and trees. Pretty nerve wrecking

When the weather guy on 25 said a tornado was spotted in Hopedale and headed to Goodfield, I knew Mackinaw was in its path. Did you have any damage?
We didn't just garbage blown everywhere because Tuesday of course was garbage day. Alot of houses in town here had blown branches and such. Yesterday Veronica and I walked with Nicholas uptown to the bank/IGA and there were people all over town soliciting roofing estimates
The overturned grain bins and downed trees shown on the news must have been where you ran into the rain?
Yup, just south of Rt 9. I was freaking out. Even put my cell phone in my pocket just in case the tornado picked up the Navigator and tossed me, I could at least reach my phone in my pocket to call for help
