I have had zero issues with my truck in almost 7000 miles. I think for the most part, these trucks have been very solid. The issues you see on here are such a small percentage of the overall numbers of trucks purchased.
When do these rebates for ordering ring begin to cut off? And the 18s begin being made. Am I right on the month of June assumption?
and increase? You mean basically the same price for build and order now? Because when I use xplan on the summary page it says 0 incentives avalible.
The rebates won't end for the '17 (well, eventually they go to final pay, but that's different). I mean, if you wait to get a '18 you will miss on the '17 rebates. There is no way to know for sure at this time when the cut off will be. The '18 will be about the same truck and cost more.

okay. Well I hope when I go to order they can still take my order or find the exact truck I want.
I want the 6.7 king ranch black with caribou 4x4 ultimate package with vinyl flooring, upfitter switches and adaptive steering and that's it. Nothing extra. I feel like maybe they could find one on a lot that's similar but has more options that I won't want and would force me into buying a more expensive truck.
When someone one runs into this kinda issue with you frantz as the salesman what would you do?
If I were ordering a new KR I would order it with carpet. Just my opinion, but when you go to trade it I would think the majority of folks looking for a high trim level KR would want carpet.
Vinyl is fine if you plan on keeping it forever. You'll be ready to trade it in 1-2 years for the newest latest and Greatest.
Haha. This truck won't be traded or sold for a long time, this is my last purchase for myself before I begin saving for a house.
My my girlfriend also has kids 6 and 3 year old and I don't want to risk spilling juice or whatever on the carpet and it staining it.., so uh. Yeah vinyl to me makes more sense when considering a high trim truck

I've said this myself more than once... When the bug bites, you cant help it
If it's a normal build then we simply look to find one. If it's truly one of a kind, all we can really do is order one, which is what you'll want to do. When I see balance out dates, i do post them here on the forum. Usually you want to plan to be a few weeks early just to be sure, because it's never "confirmed".

6 year and 3 year old. Man I'd get an xl for that. Or painter plastic and cover everything up lol.

Good luck with your purchase!
I've seen the brown King Ranch with the black vinyl floor. It looks very goofy to me. Imagine a truck mullet - luxury on the top, work truck on the floor - it's an odd combo.
I asked my ford dealer the same question. He "thinks" the build date may extend to august this year. His reasoning is there are not too many changes from the 2017 to the 2018s and they may be concentrating on production and launching of the f150 diesel. but of course that's all conjecture. I was wanting to wait as long as possible also order in hopefully late august and get in october to enjoy some of the end of year rebates when I pick up. I am looking for a lariat, bronze fire, black leather, lariat value package, blis system, and trailer tow camera package with a 3.31 locking axle. 5th wheel prep. Not sure if it going to work out but I am going to keep in contact with the dealer and order on the last possible day.
Haha I know right? The 6 year old isn't that bad though and I've taught the 3 year old to not put his feet on the back of the seat. I hated that. Another reason why I don't want black leather again.
and Frantz that would be great if you can post that when it's time! I've got a lot of great info from users on this forum and I appreciate everyone giving me their two cents and information. You've all made me think more financially and even though I may not be waiting to get this truck. You guys have helped me out a lot.
I plan to work a lot of overtime the first halves of the next 4 years. My goal? Pay this bad boy down and off. Then house goals!
I'm still saving some down payment money up but when I hit 13k I'll begin getting an order in. I'm so excited! I'm finally going to own THE truck I've wanted. Not just for what I settle for... I am busting my butt and working hard for it but it will pay off!
I'm a little nervous having never owned a diesel and heard a lot of stories about people selling right after warranty is up for fear of the fuel system going out Which people have said is like 10k....
