Tranmisson help.

Hey still pretty new to this resto idea. Not really good with trucks yet. Just got this 79 f150 long bed 2wd 302 3speed (converted to floor shift) I have some transmission issues I think ie hard shifting and shutter.. I noticed fluid seeping from the speedo cable which I think is the o ring causing that...but I am attaching some poor photos to see anyone can tell me what kind of transmission I have, or any help in figuring it out. Thanks guys I need it.

Hard shifting can be from the linkage being worn, out of adjustment and or worn bushings. Shudder can be from the clutch being out of adjustment or rear main leaking on you clutch face.

What type of gear oil does this puppy need? Also I can only find one plug..on the passenger side about mid way up..believe that to be the filler plug? However how do you drain it completely to change the gear oil?

Q1. No not bad at all, very dependable tranny. I would even say the most dependable. Q2. 75w-90w gear oil
Q3. You have to suck it out
