I got the 7.3 Excursion in some deep water today. Front tires were almost all the way under water about an inch less. Tail pipe was half under water. Did not shut off while in water. Now it's a bit colder which I don't think has anything to do with it but just putting it out there. I am unable to start the truck. Will not try to roll over and I am unable to shift gear shifter. Steering wheel is not locked. Not sure but thinking neutral safety switch.
Hopefully just your starter. Try to hook a computer to the OBD II port and talk with the computer/check codes. If you got the computer wet, you will know pretty quick.
The truck started a few times earlier after the puddle. It is 23 degrees so maybe it does have a big effect. Isn't the computer up high? Instrument panel lights up like it's supposed to
