Flush mounts in mirrors
OK I am taking this on. I have looked around and found little to no info on it and what i did find was not a how to, nor did the pictures or hyperlinks work.
Hoping this helps with night visibility getting around in the sticks and maybe if no other cars are on the road can help spot those deer and hogs i have been dealing with... for years...
The questions:
How do i get the glass out without screwing it up?
NOTE: (glass is electric and has defrost but they manually telescope)
How would i best make these cuts?
Do the upfitters wire up like my 06 did? RW&B wires behind the fuse panel/kick panel?
I got the wiring kit with the solenoid and fuse and all that, very good quality from the looks of it and i always use proper sized relays and switches etc. (pics to follow)
Any help is appreciated.
Here is what i am working on, we call it Rutger.
the lights i got are Avec flush mounts... only ones they carry. Alson installing them on the back bumper (ranch hand) set up for back up sensors that i do not have... so lights it is. Gottem for 60 sumodd bucks a set on Amazon.. usually 170 ish from Avec.... so i got 2 sets lol

would really like if they worked off of reverse circuit as well as a switch, but i think i got that one figured out. Its the mirror work that has me jacked up.
Again, thanks for all the help. I really enjoy this truck and look forward to the long haul... i had to give up on my 6.0... my pockets just aint that deep.
This is a great place.

my luck?... Replace it all.
I just cant believe thier is no other info on it.
Not in my manual.. not in anything anywhere. This is not a last minute thing... been at this 3 weeks.
Still nothing on the web about how to remove the glass without breaking it.
Ending this thread with the following notes:
If you want it bad enough just break it and build your way out...
If you find anything to the contrary please post it here.
If you wanna know where to run the wires inbox me. ( PSA found a rust spot under a rubber plug on the cab...)
Good luck.
