4 This is a Dagenham 220 cid 4 cylinder diesel. Look at the code again, as the series code decodes to a gas engine.
L = Michigan Truck Assembly Plant.
680656 = 1965.

Hard to believe all of those lines on the plate are miss stamped, too. Especially the horsepower and RPM. 65 and 2,500 is exactly what the Dagenham 220 is listed as.
Also the G40 and G400 (Diesel) and opposed to P40 and P400 (Gas). If you have a title for it - does the VIN on the title match that first line on the warranty plate?

Looks like it could be a 240/300 which are good engines. Is the engine mounted with front and back mounts? If so, is the back mount under the bellhousing? I'd then wonder if that is same bellhousing as a 4x4 truck might have used or something unique to the Parcel Delivery. I guess more research would be in order.

The day I brought her home. She spent 45 years as a uniform delivery service van then 5 years doing flea markets and swap meets. All 50 years in Yucaipa, CA.

Clifford parts
I pretty much bought everything that Clifford offers. I'm running the dual 38mm Weber on the custom intake manifold plus the headers, cam, and timing set. I also converted it to an automatic with an AOD and Lokar shifter. Of course the overdrive meant a rear gear change in the Dana 60. I would warn you that the guy who now runs Clifford is the original guys son in law and not all that knowledgeable.
