New Rancho 9000XL shocks come with a boot, but you have to put it on. The split you see helps to get the boot over the shock. I didn't find the boot install to be a fun process. It was my first set of shocks to put boots on like this and it was a little frustrating but I got it done.

Thanks. When I called Ranch they said they only had fronts for a 2.5" lift.
That's strange. I think I got the product number off of their site. As far as I know, the front shocks for 2017+ are the same as for 2011-2016. It's the rear shocks that are different between those sets of model years. Mine fit without any issues.
Timely. My front RS9000XL's will be here today. I wanted the rears but Rancho does not show anything available for my truck. I went back far enough on this thread to find where 999047A was listed as the rear shock. When I put this number in on the Rancho site I get a warning, does not fit my truck. What gives?
Edit update: I decided to call Rancho (Teneco) and was told by the tech there is nothing yet for the rear. He said to check back in a month or two or three as they are in the pipeline.

I dunno. Sounds like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Rancho was late providing shocks for the 2017+ model, but then again, so is everyone else except for Fox.
Rancho is trying to keep it a secret. They wouldn't want everyone to have a pleasant ride. Why, there might be fewer people out there complaining that a solid front axle can't have a decent ride. The GM guys would go nuts.
Often times the data takes a bit longer to get freshened on the website.
