New truck. Help

Hi. I recently purchased a 2016 Lariat. It happened all so fast I didn't even know it was a Lariat. I thought it was a XLT like I said it's all a blur.
I can't get half the stuff to work I've never been a manual reader but I'll figure it out as I go. I've done a lot of search on Torque Pro I'm still running the torque Lite app. I can't get any of the gauges to work.
I'm kinda good with technology not as good as I thought better than a lot. What is a PID? If I go with Torque Pro will it be a lot easier to use? Really can't afford a new tuner / viewer at this time I'm happy with the stock configuration of the horsepower torque levels I really don't want to modify it.
Today I plan on getting my head wrapped around navigation and Sirius Satellite Radio.

So I play with the Sirius Satellite for a little while and the whole system crashes. I play with a navigation system and that crashes. I have to shut truck off Open Door reset and then it's fine for a while period
Have an appointment Monday morning it service department can't get the balance paid screen to appear I can't get valet mode to appear a lot of stuff I can't get the repair hit the button and it does nothing.Still thinking about spending the five bucks and getting The Torque Pro see if for me. Worst comes to worst I cancel it

It's a 2016, take it in for warranty work.

I agree with warranty work. Sounds like the main chip has gone bad.
Salesman should have gone over everything with you and showed you it worked.

Salesman gave me quick overview. Still cant figure out little things like how to turn the turn by turn navigation volume up can barely hear it I'll have them do that just make them go over all the stuff with me.
Bought the Torque Pro app works way nicer than the light. Still can't find water temperature

PID is an array that you use to monitor a sensor. Some PIDS are already in Torque Pro (and lite) and others you need to add or even create on your own. First, I would start with the basics. Get your truck running right without worrying about Torque Pro or any other aftermarket gauge or gadget. The truck was designed to be used without anything else. And to eliminate the "extra" as the problem.

I can tell you from experience that some of the bluetooth readers and even cell phone power adapter interfere with the truck. I have one that they should market as a hidden vehicle kill switch. My truck just won't start if it's plugged in. It's doesn't try, it doesn't give me any codes/errors either... (I did throw it out). Bluetooth OBDII readers can do the same thing...

If you are crashing everything with nothing plugged in - it's dealer time, IMHO. You bought a new truck with a new warranty. The dealer should be happy to explain everything to you on how it works and if it doesn't work right, they'll fix it...

To change the volume of the voice of the navigation, press the volume up button on the steering wheel while the nav is talking. It took me awhile to figure that out.

I'm tempted to go out in my slippers to try it now. Thanks.

Yeah it works, it's just tough to catch it. I always end up turning the radio volume up or down...

That and I don't like hearing it all the time so the volume is off. Even though now I finally know pretty much where I am going, I use it so that if my known route is blocked I know alternate routes that go through/around it.

Soon I bet I will be good at knowing all of the minor streets that go through, as I still have the habit of purposely finding multiple ways to get to places.
