steering box adjustment
question: I removed the nut and the star retainer clip and screwed in the adjusting screw all the way and backed off half a turn i can get the retainer on but not the nut not enough threads left.screw seemed to turn quite easy should there not be more resistance to the screw.any suggestions you can give me

Only bad news - when there's no more adjustment left you get to rebuild the box.....been there, done that and if I can fumble thru the process I'm sure you can too.
