Question Head studs
I feel really dumb asking this, but are the head studs visible, or are they under the valve covers? I want to find out if my truck is studded, I am thinking it is not, but I am hopeful...

Look on the downside of the valve cover, between valve cover and exhaust manifold - you'll see bolts or stud w nut on it.

You can see the bottom row, regardless of what you have. If you see studs, you are studded, regular old bolt heads you still have the TTY's

Don't feel dumb, it's been asked before

Just remember, there are thousands of these running around, many daily pullers, that are still on the TTY's....my sons truck included that had a fifth wheel hooked up to it for some time in it's former life.

TTY's are not a death sentence. If they were every 6.0 would be studded by now.
Keep the crazy tunes away and work it good once a week, these are not meant to be a grocery getter or once a week to church vehicle.
