First off, forgive my ignorance. I got my Marti report back for my 77 F150 today, and there was something on it that was surprising to me. Apparently, I have 1 of 108 that had the paint/trim codes produced that year. To me, that seems like it might be significant, but I would like to hear from those that actually know better than me. Did I stumble across something? Or is it really nothing. Thanks for any help you all are able to offer.
Your vehicle was one of:
11,117 With this Paint Code
108 With these Paint/Trim Codes
29,283 With these Engine/Transmission Codes
3,663 Ordered from this DSO
10,220 With Ranger XLT Package
For the 1977 F-150 4x4 Regular Pickup Truck
Would love to know the paint codes on this.......I knew a guy in 78 or 79 that ordered a SWB 4x4 Lariat that was light yellow and dark blue.......have never seen another like it and I've been Dent spotting since they were new........had blue in the middle of the racetrack and top of cab.........interior was yellow with blue door panels and Lariat stripes on the seat.........any one ever seen one like this??? We all thought he was nuts for actually ordering one in those colors but.......like I said, I have never seen another........last I knew (4 or 5 years ago) he still had it......I saw him driving it one day.............
I tell it like it is.... no sugar coating or coddling here.
Not looking for either. Simply trying to understand the relevance of the data that I received. Being relatively new to these things, it seemed that if only 108 were made with that combo for the whole year, that seemed like a pretty low number. How many others have potentially survived thru the years?
Marti Report says 11,117 with this paint (COLOR) code, 108 with this paint & trim (BODY) codes.
So, what are the COLOR & BODY codes stamped on the Warranty Plate?
If the truck was originally tu-toned, there will be 2 COLOR codes stamped on the Warranty Plate.
Thanks for the info, that is something I had not come across yet. It only has the one paint code V. So, someone apparently added the blue at some point.

Bill....you've been around them since they were new........Did you ever see the yellow/blue combo??? Not trying to steal cinderblocks thread.....just curious.....
