I deleted my 2008...and loved it...never had an issue! Just having a hard time thinking of deleting a brand new truck with not even 500 miles on it...because of the factory warranty.
I Think the top right one is the correct one
We will see
I agree natpark
The regens are frustrating to me
Every diesel i have had before this one (7 pickups) did not have this crap
The waste of fuel is frustrating when you see your mpg start dropping
Throwing out some quick math from my truck to put things into perspective.
My lifetime average including idle time, regens, etc. is 16.3 mpg, lets round that down to 16 mpg.
My lifetime average speed is about 30 mph. Doing that math at 16 mpg, I burn roughly 1.875 gallons of fuel per hour that my truck is running. When it regens, I see it drop to about 10 mpg. The longest regen I've seen lasted about 20 minutes, but lets round up to half hour. 10 mpg and 30 mph is a fuel burn rate of 3 gallons of fuel per hour. If my truck regens for half hour each time and does so twice per fill up (average 40 gallon per fillup), that means I'm burning 1.125 gallons more per hour for two half hour time period, or 2.25 gallons of extra fuel per fill up. With the 40 gallons of fuel I fill up each time, I get around 640 miles driven. Over 100,000 miles, I will fill up with 40 gallons 156.25 times. Multiply that 156.25 by the extra 2.25 gallons of fuel I burned. Over 100k miles, I will burn an extra 351.56 gallons of diesel. At current prices of $2.88 a gallon where I live, that's about $1012.
I will delete DPF, EGR, SCR, etc once my truck is out of warranty, but in the meantime, the extra $1012 I will pay over the next 5-7 years isn't going to break me.
I have asked the question about the Forscan regen pid being accurate, oir which one is accurate, never got an answer, If some one that has the DPF% in the dash screen can also run forscan we can find out which one to use. My forscan says I get about 250 miles between regens.

Deleted my 12 dodge at 200 miles sold at 104000
Good perspective ak thanks for the different insight
My nephew deleted his 2014 F250 at 10,000 miles. Before doing so, he spoke to the dealership and they told him that they would warranty the truck as long as he didn't abuse it and start tearing things up all the time. He asked what they would do if the turbo failed. They told him that they'd replace it once under warranty, then it would be on his dime after that.
The truck now has 110,000 miles on it and is out of warranty. The only time it was in the shop was during the first 10K miles when a DPF sensor failed. His only regret was not deleting earlier. He says the next truck will be deleted on day one.

I agree deleted my 2008 at about 55k miles...kept til almost 90...never had an issue...strongest running truck I had ever had. Just hard to come out and do it on this 2017...not even 500 miles yet...but who knows! The wife thinks I'm crazy!

I had a 2008 that I put on the "Diet Plan". Still the fastest, most powerful thing I've ever sat in.
Tell the little woman that tuners are like dope. Once you try it, it's hard to get off of it. Once you're off, it's tempting to go back. Yes, you probably qualify as a "Tuner Junkie".

Looks like i found the correct PID, this morning its up to 87%,which is the one on the top right.
"DPF_SOOT_PCT_OL - DPF System Percentage of the maximum soot loading - Inferred Open Loop"
the one i was using is showing 39%, thanks for the help guys
Yeah, but the sad part is that the Federal Government (prior to Pres. "T")would rather let drug dealers free, and lock up someone for deleting a diesel.

Makes perfect sense doesn't it?
Correct, but I thing we can all agree that no one wants to see diesel trucks rolling coal.
