For what it's worth: We had a white GMC Sierra that was a pain to keep clean from the sap from the neighbor's tree. Very noticeable and always on the same side since we always backed it in. We had to use a clay bar and spend hours detailing off the marks every few months.
The 2015 Lariat in White Platinum Tri-Coat Metallic: beautiful when clean, especially at night under lighting; subtle champagne hue and a lot of paint depth. Hides scratches very well, but the downside was all the tiny little "rust" spots (which are actually pavement road deposits) that accumulate near the bottom edges of the trucks and are very hard to remove.
Then, my 2016 XLT in Magnetic. I really grew to love this color - the metallic sparkles are quite impressive when clean, and it is a nice neutral color you don't get sick of easily. It does show dirt and dust, but not horribly - same with road salt.
And finally my current truck: Blue Jeans. This color looks horrible when coated in road salt, and it shows a fair amount of road dust and dirt...but it is stunning when clean and in bright sunlight:
so far the colors that draw to me have been black , magnetic , silver and white.
I work in Brazil from time to time. Most cars are white, black or grey. The Brazilians tell me they love US cars because they have color. I have a white F-150 and I have a White Gold F-250 on order.
I like the Blue Jeans, Magnetic & Caribou. However, mine is a work truck and there are a lot of times it's pretty dusty or muddy. Also I considered the scratches and decided on the Ingot Silver. That with the chrome makes a pretty sharp looking truck, especially if I manage to wash and polish it . I'll pick up the new truck tomorrow or Thursday depending on how things work out.
My 2011 is Silver and I kind of wanted to do something different but wisdom prevailed.
I currently have a 2015 Ruby Red F150. It is a beautiful color.
I have received more compliments on that truck than any other I have had.
I also live on a dirt road in Michigan. Mud in the spring and fall, dust in the summer.
The truck shows all the dirt.
My son has an Ingot Silver F350. It hardly snows the dirt untill it gets really bad.
I will be ordering a F350 soon.
I am going with White Gold. I am hoping it will be similar to the silver with hiding the dirt
If I lived on a paved road I would go Ruby Red, hands down.
