Ranchero VIN
What does this serial number 9H48H127548 tell me? I am looking at this for a possible builder but it is rough.
Thanks,

9 = 1979.
H = Lorain OH Assembly Plant.
48 = Ranchero GT
H = 351 (could be a 351M or 351W).
Ranchero's are the only FoMoCo vehicle that can rust from the inside out.
Edit: Underneath the Ranchero's bed floor is the station wagon floor pan that contains the rear seat foot wells and spare tire well.
Ford spot welded the bed pan to the floor pan, then used flexible paintable caulk to fill in the gaps.
Over time, the caulk hardens, chips off, water seeps in and it has no place to go, because there are no drain holes.
