I have a leak with my ReTrax MX Pro. Actually I think I have multiple.
The front passenger side corner leaked yesterday when I was washing the beast. You could see the water on the wall of the truck bed - not a lot but some.
The other day after a big rain and long drive I had water in the front and rear of my bed - in the "low grooves" in some places the entire length of the bed. The back of the truck was more wet than the front. So I wonder if it is coming in the rear around the tailgate then being moved forward as I stop and go. I also wondered if the water was coming up from the gaps around 5th wheel prep points. I have my 5th wheel hitch installed but there is still a gap where water can come up.
All weather stripping is in place around the edges.
Have the same cover on my long box f350, for the price I'm not really impressed either. After realigning the sides with the plastic "bolts" help with leakage, but not sure about the fifth wheel points, my guess it's unlikely that water can be kicked up from the bottom. If I had to buy another cover for a fifth wheel, I would get another extang solid fold if they still made it out of aluminum, I heard it may now be made of plastic?

I think it's probably coming from around the tailgate. Where the tailgate step comes out of the top of the tailgate, I think some water may be able to get into those groves and into the bed. Also, I put the weather strip kit around the tailgate but on both sides near where the tailgate pivots, it's a tough job to get all that big gap sealed.
Sorry to hear you're having issues. I have the cover on my LB (first time having a cover on a truck bed) and have been impressed with how little water gets in the bed with all the opportunities that present with the various gaps. I've not had an issue when washing it or in heavy wet snow. We'll see how it does in the spring rains. I wish I could offer up suggestions to remedy the issue but luckily I've not had the issues......yet.

I am not sure if it 100% waterproof. I always feel anything that needs to stay 100% dry should be protected even more. There are far too may ways for water under pressure from wind to get in there. I never put bags of flour or sugar in there anyway.
If you want waterproof, buy a fiberglass topper or cap.

It's still ok for a little extra protection but dor 2000 i would think it would work a little better. A fiberglass top changes th use of the ned too drastically. Ill just invest in more containers for the bed. My concern was wheni install a BedRug I didn't want it to get wet and nasty.. Even though its just plastic fibers it seems that the water the does get in would not dry up as fast .
None of the covers out there on the market are 100% waterproof. I have had three of them over the years and they all leaked a little bit during rain or washing the truck. None of them leaked enough for me to be concerned about something in the bed getting too wet however.

It has been few years since i had a pickup. The last cover I had it was a soft one with velcro and it never leaked. Learned something new and will adjust to fitbmy needs. It looks good and adds some protection ai its still probably what I would have picked..

Exactly.
My Retrax Pro MX leaked a bit. But it's not waterproof. None of them are.
The only way to keep dry is with a fiberglass topper or a fiberglass tonneau. And even THOSE can potentially spring leaks.
I have the MX Pro - followed the measurement instructions during the install - did the install myself - been thru several rain storms and car washes - I have zero leaks - Give Retrax a call they are very helpful.
