What axles came stock the 78 f150 4x4 trucks?

That all depends on if the truck is green.


P.S. They do not call them stepsides here, they are flaresides even though they have a step and not a flare. Go figure.

Flareside (noun)- Rear fender is the flare that extrudes from the bed that covers the tire.

Flare refers to the bedsides that flare upwards/outwards.

The front is likely a Dana 44 and the rear a Ford 9". Check for tags or codes to confirm.

I think the problem was that "stepside" was already taken...it's the most accurate and descriptive name. I still call my 76 a stepside, just not on FTE
