Has anyone else with a 11-16 truck noticed a case of poor bumper fitment? I first noticed it when I was installing the led headlight bulbs in my truck and had to access the bolts under the headlights. It sits high on the driver's side, low on the passenger side. It also sits further out to the right. Now that I've noticed it, it bugs the hell out of me.
Just loosen the bolts and adjust it. The holes in the frame are elongated vertically, and the holes in the bumper bracket are elongated horizontally. Unless the truck was wrecked and poorly fixed, there is plenty of adjustment to make it fit correctly.

I didn't spend too much time trying to adjust the bumper since I was doing headlights but the bumper was already maxed out as far as adjustment goes up and down. The only way to make it right heightwise was to lower the driver's side and make the gap really big. Idk, just seemed odd on a 60,000 dollar truck. No it was never wrecked lol its a 2016 that I bought brand new
Ohh Okay. It is true, the gap is a bit large on the bumper. The gap will get smaller as the truck gets older and the rubber body mounts start compressing . Now that I am done with the jokes, I still think that Ford makes the most durable truck body.
I found a solution! I wanted a Ranch Hand Summit series bumper for the truck anyways so that's what I went with. Like it says in my signature, the wife was suprisingly content! But the remaining bonus money goes toward the house, which is a smarter investment anyways I'm pretty excited, everyone seems to get the Legend or Sport series around my area. I have NEVER seen a summit series in my area though. Will post pictures when it comes in.
I had poor fitment on my front bumper (2012 f250), but I bought it pre-owned from the dealer. Didn't notice it when I test drove it but noticed it a week later. Had to get a forklift to put slight pressure on the bumper while I re-adjusted the gaps and tightened the bolts, but I'm more convinced that the previous owner tweaked it than I am that it came from the factory poorly fitting.
