Hello fellow members, I have a lead on a Dana 60 kingpin solid axle and wanted to know what to look for when buying one? If the kingpins are toast I know it can be fixed, but I'm wondering what tags or markings should I look for to make sure it is what it is? Ditto with the rear end.
It would be coming out of a 87 F350, so I'm pretty sure it is a Dana, but just want to make sure.
The rearend is more than likely a Ford Sterling. If the rear cover on the rearend has no oil fill plug, then it is the Ford 10.25 Sterling rearend. If the rear cover does have a fill plug, then it is a dana.
