Looking to convert to automatic trans.
Just bought a 1961 Falcon Ranchero with 170 ci six and 3 speed on the column for the wife. I would like to convert to an automatic trans.
Does anyone know which transmissions will bolt up to this engine? (i.e. early Mustang?)
I would prefer a newer C-4 3 speed to the older 2 speed Fordomatic.
Maybe if I knew which cars came with this engine I could call a few transmission shops. Suggestions please.
