Also at nloc(dot)net, a thread showing the crown vic install, on a bronco frame, same would apply to your truck. Its not a bolt in deal, as it is with the 67-79 trucks.
Just food for thought, factory M5R2 will handle a healthy v8 just fine and lowering the stock suspension, will allow it to handle a lil better, both much more budget friendly.
Last I checked it is a universal 4 bolt pattern for bell housings

The T56 needs a bell with a huge hole in it. The nose end of the tranny is bigger than the main body is. No factory installed SBF had this trans behind it. An aftermarket bell is available from several sources, though.
